Yes. It can be. We recommend choosing the uncoated stock as this is the best surface to easily write on with any pen or pencil. Matte coating is also a writable surface, but for oil-based ballpoint pens and permanent markers.
Gloss and high-gloss UV coated stocks provide limited writability using permanent markers and need sufficient drying time.
